Man, I had a great time being one of the “openers” at the Mel Waiters concert, September 2, 2012 @ The Anthenaeum Theatre in Indianapolis. Started the set with music from “The Blues Cafe” that I host on radionext.tv. At the end of the 45mins set, I introduced myself to the audience and informed them about my program. I then introduced Brenda Williams from the Indianapolis Performing Arts Center, which hosted the show. Brenda and I then did a crowd pleasing renditition of “Stormy Monday” for the audience.
Just before the show started, I got to meet Mel Waiters backstage and he supplied me with plenty of copies of his CDs for airplay for “The Blues Cafe.” All in all, I had a great evening of music.

Showing out with “Queen Delphine and the Crown Jewels”
Well, I finished my first IndyFringe Festival and I had a ball! Outside of being voted one of the “Top Three Street Performers” at IndyFringe, my band “Blues With a Twist” opened back-2-back weekends to some really great talent in which I was privy to perform along with. The executive director of IndyFringe invited me back next year and asked, “Have you considered writing a stage production?” Hmmmm….
Catch me on “Harpman’s Blue Cafe” Internet Radio program, 12 – 3pm EDT every Saturday on Radionext: Harpman’s Blues Cafe
Catch one of our most recent shows on demand at Soundcloud. Another great set of classic Blues, featuring the music of Little Walter Jacobs.
“Blues With a Twist” featuring me, Ken “Harpman” Skelton and Paul “GForce”Henry will be the opening act, two weeks straight at this year’s “Blues Under the Tent,” presented by IndyFringe.
“Blues with a Twist” recently placed in the top-three vote getters in the recent “Battle of the Street Performers” on August 3, 2012.
“BWaT” will open for “Sticky Fingers” August 19, 2012 and “Queen Delphine and the Crown Jewels” on August 26, 2012.
I am very happy to be a part of IindyFringe this year, especially being the opening act these next two Sundays!
